Hypnosis helps people make changes in their lives, transform old patterns and support wellness of mind, body and spirit. Hypnosis helps with changing habits, behaviors and ways of thinking, as well as for connecting to inner wisdom and self-awareness.

I facilitate workshops and groups using the SoulCollage® method of intuitive collage.  SoulCollage® is a creative process done individually or in groups that helps people connect to inner guidance. Drawing from Jungian psychology, this practice gives voice to known and undiscovered aspects of the self.

Therapy & Facilitation

I use a mix of methods to facilitate self-healing techniques for individuals and groups, including dreamwork and active imagination. Click below to learn more about some of the tools that I use in work with clients.

Carrie Fields, MSW, LCSWA, MHt

My passion is to guide people through their inner landscapes to access healing and insight through the inner self. I view the individual healing process as interconnected with the collective healing of our communities and our planet.  I am influenced by Jungian frameworks, transpersonal psychology and ecopsychology.

I live near the Atlantic Ocean in Wilmington, North Carolina with my husband, Alex, and my chihuahua, Hermes. I grew up in Greensboro, NC, and have also lived in New Mexico & California. I have had the privilege of spending time in Latin America as well as working with and learning from immigrant and refugee communities in NC. I enjoy spending time in nature and expressing myself creatively.

My professional background is in youth services, alternative & outdoor education, and mental health. After receiving my MSW from UNC Chapel Hill in 2014, I worked for several years in community mental health, followed by an experience of burnout and chronic fatigue that led me down a winding path of personal healing. I have explored many pathways in my own healing process over the past decade. Many of the practices I use with clients are those that have also helped me, and which I continue to use in my inner work.

As a clinical social worker, I worked in in school-based and in-home therapy with youth and families and received training in behavioral therapies. I also learned expressive arts based therapeutic techniques through my school-based work with the Art Therapy Institute of NC.

I have received certifications as a Clinical Hypnotherapist (CHt) and Master Hypnotherapist (MHt) through the National Association for Transpersonal Hypnotherapists. I have studied several approaches to dreamwork, including a completion of a year-long certification program in Embodied Experiential Dreamwork with Dr. Leslie Ellis. I am also a certified SoulCollage® facilitator. I am grateful to many teachers who have guided me and modeled ethical use of these tools.
